Pick a Point is a registered trademark of Paralelo Viajante, Unipessoal Lda, a trading company with registered office at Rua Cabeção n.º249, 7490-241 Mora, Portugal, with share capital of 50,000.00€ (fifty thousand euros), registered at the Commercial Registry Office R.N.P.C (Registo Nacional de Pessoas Coletivas) with the single registration and taxpayer number 516 922 629.
The present general conditions are an integral part of each travel programme and form, in the absence of an autonomous document, the travel contract.
Terms and Conditions of Service

The present general conditions are an integral part of each travel programme and form, in the absence of an autonomous document, the travel contract.
The organization and execution of the different services are the responsibility of Paralelo Viajante, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions stated here. By booking Paralelo Viajante, the Client acknowledges and accepts all the Terms and Conditions established.
All services are covered by the mandatory insurance for these activities, including:
- Public Liability Insurance;
- Motor Insurance;
- Personal Accident Insurance.
When making the reservation by bank transfer, the Customer must pay the amount equal to a percentage of the price of the service (to be indicated when making the reservation), paying the remaining amount and the total amount of EUR 150.00 (one hundred and fifty euros) as a guarantee fee up to 24 hours before the start of the service. If the reservation is made within 24 hours or less of the start date of the service, the total price and amount of the guarantee must be paid at the time of booking.
Paralelo Viajante reserves the right to cancel any reservation which payment has not been made under the above mentioned conditions with no refund.
The value of the deposit serves as protection for any repair or cleaning that the vehicle needs due to damages caused by the passengers. After finishing the provision of services, the Driver reports to Pick a Point the state of the vehicle, if all is well, the deposit amount will be credited to the Client's bank account in approximately 3 working days, depending on the bank.
TOURS - passenger transportation in Portuguese territory, through a pre-established tour with maximum pre-established duration and distance and with recommended stops, locations and duration of stop; Passengers may change the itinerary, add or remove stops and decide how long to stay at each location, with the condition that the pre-established maximum distance or duration (whichever occurs first) is not exceeded, finishing at the place of return (within a 50km radius of the place of departure) chosen by Passengers.
PERSONALIZED TOURS - Passenger transportation within the Portuguese territory, with pre-established maximum duration and distance, during which the Passengers define the stopping places and decide how long they will stay at each place, with the condition that the pre-established maximum distance or duration (whichever occurs first) is not exceeded, ending at any place chosen by the Passengers. According to the destination choices and motivations and interests of the client/group, Pick a Point can recommend a customized itinerary/experience, freeing the client/group from worrying about the logistics and what to do in the places they intend to visit.
PRIVATE DRIVER - Passenger transportation in Portuguese national territory, with predefined maximum duration and distance, during which the passengers choose the stopping places and decide how long they will stay in each place, with the condition that the predefined maximum distance or duration (whichever occurs first) is not exceeded, finishing in any place chosen by the passengers.
In order to use our services, the customer must choose from the available services and make a reservation for a specific date, time and place of departure. To make a booking, it is necessary for the customer to provide certain personal details such as name, identification details, date of birth, email address, mobile phone number and any message the customer writes to us during the booking. If the client chooses the services of tours/experiences or private driver, the client must indicate the desired duration and maximum distance of the services.
The client receives an e-mail with information about his or her choices and the total price and the percentage of the service that will be provided. Payments can be made by bank transfer tothe following bank account IBAN PT50 00456 1034 0368 6942 70 96 or other means of payment such as Visa, MBway, ATM and Payshop.. When the customer completes the payment, the booking confirmation is sent to the email address provided. The client is responsible for any and all payment of charges for a booking and all services booked. The customer must pay the charges in full and without delay at the time of making the Booking. Passengers are responsible for any and all payment of additional charges in full and without delay at the time of requesting an extension to the Booking.
The Driver will collect the Passengers at the date, time and pick-up address specified in the booking. The Driver will provide the services for the duration and distance specified in the booking. The Driver will wait for the Passengers at the place of departure and at any stopping place. Any waiting time counts as provision of services and in case of delay Passengers should contact the Driver as soon as possible. Passengers will be notified of the approaching end of the provision of services when the Driver detects that only enough time or distance is left to return to the place of departure.
When informed of the approaching end of the provision of services, Passengers must decide whether to return to the point of return or to extend the services and pay the additional charges in cash in advance directly to the Driver. If Passengers decide not to extend the reservation, they may return to the returning location or continue their journey by other means.
PICK A POINT SERVICES INCLUDE:
- The maximum distance, maximum duration, maximum number of Passengers;
- Car with private Driver;
- Transport costs (parking, fuel and tolls);
- Free Wi-Fi and mobile phone charger in the vehicle.
PICK A POINT SERVICES DO NOT INCLUDE
- Professional tour guide or other type of assistance in visiting the recommended places;
- Entrance fees to attractions, lunches, souvenirs, etc;
- Trips do not include any transportation expenses resulting from Passengers' requests for route changes (e.g. train tickets, additional tolls, ferries, etc.) which will result in additional fees to be paid by Passengers in advance in cash directly to the Driver.
- Cash in advance directly to the Driver.

The Client may change the place of departure and the scheduled departure time as many times as necessary up to 24 hours before the beginning of the agreed Services. The Customer may change the date of the provision of the Services up to 24 hours before the start of the provision of the Booked Services.
If the booking is cancelled by Pick a Point due to extraordinary reasons of their own, the Client shall receive the refund paid in full. The Customer must receive the refund as a credit, within approximately 5 to 10 working days, depending on the bank.
In cases of unpredictable situations which are or may be unforeseen and outside the company (e.g. environmental conditions, unexpected breakdown of the vehicle, roads temporarily out of circulation, accidents, incidents with a passenger, etc.), the Renter will be entitled to a refund for the remaining services (calculated on the basis of the time/distance of the reservation already used). The Customer should receive the refund as a credit, within approximately 5 to 10 working days, depending on the bank.
If any unforeseen situation occurs, Pick a Point will use all available means to get the Passengers safely to the return point as soon as possible. Pick a Point cannot be held liable for any additional expenses incurred by Passengers as a result of an unforeseen situation (e.g. missed flights or trains, arriving outside check-in or check-out times of hotels or local accommodation, etc.). check in or check out de hotéis ou alojamento local, etc.).
The Pick a Point cannot be held liable for delays in performing or failure to perform any of our obligations under these Terms and Conditions if the failures are the result of unforeseeable situations beyond our control.
- The Customer accepts the terms and conditions of Pick a Point services and takes responsibility for advising all Passengers of the same.
- Customers are aged eighteen or over. Pick a Point does not authorize minors to hire its services.
- Underage Passengers must be assisted by an adult Customer who takes responsibility for them.
- Customers are responsible for the acts and omissions of all persons they authorise to take part in the trips.
- Smoking Passengers must smoke or vapourise outside the vehicle, smoking or vapourising inside the vehicle is not permitted.
- Consumption of food and drink is permitted inside the vehicle as long as they respect the driver and maintain the good condition of the vehicle inside.
- Passengers must not consume alcoholic beverages inside the vehicle. The driver reserves the right to refuse to carry any Passenger who, in the opinion of the Driver, is intoxicated and displays disruptive behaviour. In such circumstances the Driver may require the Renter and his Passengers to alight from the vehicle.
- The carriage of baggage is permitted. Passengers are at all times during the journey responsible for their luggage.
- The Driver may assist any Passenger who has difficulty in boarding or alighting from the Passenger Vehicle at the Driver's sole discretion but at the Passenger's risk.
- Any damage to the vehicle caused by Passengers may be charged a repair or cleaning fee to be deducted from the security deposit.
- The transportation of pets (such as dogs, cats, birds, etc.) is permitted. As long as it is reported in advance and the legal measures of animal transportation in vehicles are applied for the safety of the animals, the passengers and the driver.
- Passengers may carry bicycles, surfboards or luggage, as long as it is mentioned in the moment of booking so that the vehicle is equipped to receive this kind of equipment.
- Passengers must behave in a civic and social manner in order to look after the well-being and safety of all those involved during the provision of services. The Driver (at his absolute discretion) reserves the right to refuse or stop the carriage of any Passenger who behaves in an inappropriate, threatening or abusive manner, or who poses a danger to the Driver or to others (including physical contact or excessive display). In such event, the Passenger shall disembark at the first safe stopping place decided at the Driver's sole discretion.
- The Pick a Point cannot be held responsible for any goods left by Passengers in any vehicle. For the return of lost items, when found by drivers, Pick a Point will contact the Customer to acknowledge that the item is in the company's possession. If the item is only identified at a later date and the driver does not know to which Customer it belongs, the item will be kept in the company's lost property. If the item left in the vehicle is not claimed within 30 days, Pick a Point reserves the right to dispose of it as it sees fit.
